Mum Blogger of the Week: A Confused Take That Fan

Drum roll, fanfare, it’s time for our Mum Blogger of the Week and the award goes to: A Confused Take That Fan. http://aconfusedtakethatfan.blogspot.co.uk/

I’ll let her introduce herself:’ I like Jason Orange, no make it Gary Barlow, baking buns, daydreaming, watching Downton Abbey, stroking my little girls soft cheeks, laughing, magazines, chatting, chicken bhuna, holidays and sun, France, houses, movies and being in love…’

She also writes with great humour and warmth about family life, from pre-emptive worrying about bullying to explaining the facts of life to a five-year-old before breakfast. She regularly explores the worries and concerns associated with parenting whether that is fears that you are turning into your mum or concern about when words adopt derogatory meanings.

And I imagine every parent can relate when she says she has ‘just spent the last hour searching for large balls of cotton wool’ to wrap her daughter in.  We all want to protect our children from the harm and hurt we can imagine lies ahead. However, before you dip into being maudlin, she ends with humour: ‘Unfortunately, Amazon are out of stock.’
