Drum roll, fanfare, it’s time for our Mum Blogger of the Week and the award goes to: A Confused Take That Fan. http://aconfusedtakethatfan.blogspot.co.uk/
I’ll let her introduce herself:’ I like Jason Orange, no make it Gary Barlow, baking buns, daydreaming, watching Downton Abbey, stroking my little girls soft cheeks, laughing, magazines, chatting, chicken bhuna, holidays and sun, France, houses, movies and being in love…’
She also writes with great humour and warmth about family life, from pre-emptive worrying about bullying to explaining the facts of life to a five-year-old before breakfast. She regularly explores the worries and concerns associated with parenting whether that is fears that you are turning into your mum or concern about when words adopt derogatory meanings.
And I imagine every parent can relate when she says she has ‘just spent the last hour searching for large balls of cotton wool’ to wrap her daughter in. We all want to protect our children from the harm and hurt we can imagine lies ahead. However, before you dip into being maudlin, she ends with humour: ‘Unfortunately, Amazon are out of stock.’
We imagine her girls would love our Buttercup Baby Changing Bag. It’s sunny, yellow flowers and straps definitely reflect the happy nature of the blog. Plus the diaper bag has lots of different pockets where A Confused Take That Fan could hide her half eaten crisps instead of sneaking them behind the bread bin. This designer changing bag is also perfect for use as a handbag too whether you’re going out with friends or into the office.
Just like the changing bag, reading A Confused Take That Fan’s blog is a non-guilty pleasure. It’s warm, insightful and funny. Plus if you’re 30-something you’ll recognise her reference points including the Garbage Pail Kids! If you’re younger or older, then you’ll recognise the current popular culture references too.
Skip along to her blog today and give yourself a treat, and don’t forget to tell us your favourite mum bloggers too.
