Famous Mum of the Week: Alicia Silverstone

What do you think of when you hear Alicia Silverstone? If you answered ‘Clueless’ then boy are you behind the times. In the years since she stole our hearts and made headlines with the funny and sassy high school film, Alicia has appeared in Batman and Robin, Miss Match and been treading the boards in theatre. She has also become an environmentalist, activist, author and last year she became mum to Bear Blu Jarecki.

Bear is adorable and some of our favourite pics from this week have been of Alicia, husband Christopher Jarecki (of band STUN) and Bear enjoying the music at Coachella. Whilst Alicia dressed down in jeans, she made sure little Bear was comfortable with a giant pair of ear protectors.

Alicia now runs her own website too, The Kind Life where she shares food, health, style, house and food tips with the focus on sustainability and being environmentally friendly. As well as using guest bloggers, Alicia often takes the time to share her own opinions with recent articles about air conditioning and non-leather basketball shoes. She even spent one entry explaining how you can use environmentally-friendly diapers. Encouraging readers to find out more about cloth diapers, Alicia says:  “It will dispel all the myths and worries out there about cloth diapers.  It’s not as frightening as we all thought!
